Directed by Hideaki Itsuno, known for his work on Devil May Cry, the game combines a beautiful fantasy setting inspired by the island of Sicily with colossal boss battles reminiscent of Shadow of the Colossus and the fast-paced combat seen in DmC.
When the game initially launched, there was limited fast travel, requiring players to become familiar with the world and its monsters. However, the combat and exploration aspects still hold up well, making long journeys exciting rather than tedious.

For the best experience, it’s advisable to face the more cinematic bosses during the day, purely for the spectacle. Similar to Shadow of the Colossus, you can climb larger foes to target their weak points.
